The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has added 30 new creative majors to the list of scholarships available to Emirati students, to help them turn their talents into successful careers.

ADEK said that these creative education programs cover eight areas, including arts and humanities, health and well-being, business administration and law, information and communication technologies. communication, education, services, engineering, construction and manufacturing, in addition to social and behavioral sciences. .

The department explained that it will offer scholarships in creative programs, including animation, creative writing, fashion design, film and video studies, cinematography, fine arts (theory of art, calligraphy, drawing, philosophy of art), graphic design, industrial design (product design) and jewelry, interior design, languages ​​and compositions, in addition to music and performing arts (interpretation, direction, theater, theater and musical composition).

Other new creative disciplines include advertising and brand management, arts and entertainment management, entrepreneurship and innovation, automotive and transportation design, landscape architecture, drama therapy, 3D design, electronic game production, web design, culinary arts, sports training, in addition to journalism. and mass communication.

ADEK, through the Abu Dhabi Scholarship Program, offers scholarships for creative minds to obtain a bachelor’s degree for a period of 4 years in one of the top 150 universities in the world, or according to specialization , and introduces students to different cultures and provides them with a global experience.

It also gives students the opportunity to communicate with and obtain advice and guidance from industry leaders and provides them with local and international internship opportunities in the area of ​​specialization.

Officials pointed out that the Abu Dhabi scholarship program has several advantages, including a unique and personal academic path for the sponsored student, allowances and rewards based on performance and academic level, and assistance in obtaining job opportunities after graduation.

The student can also have the chance to get internships and job opportunities with more than 90 agencies and institutions in the country.

According to the authorities, if a student is already admitted to one of the top 20 universities in the world, he can bypass the eligibility criteria and conditions to have his name directly added to the scholarship nomination list.

ADEK clarified that the eligibility criteria and conditions for the admission of grade 12 graduates states that the student must be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates, must be between 17 and 24 years old, have a cumulative grade point average of 85% and above in the 11th grade exams and have a cumulative grade point average of 90% and above in the 12th grade exams (first semester).

A student must gain unconditional academic acceptance to a university ranked in the top 150 universities to study one of the programme-approved majors, and must have obtained a minimum score of 6.0 on the IELTS (academic) test or 60 on the TOEFL iBT test. The student must obtain a score of 1,100 and above in the mathematics test (EMSAT).
