• Ira Sukrungruang: The Kenyon College professor and creative writing author will discuss his memoir, “This Jade World,” with Ohio State University creative writing professor Lee Martin at an in-store event at 7 p.m. 26 January, at Gramercy Books, 2424 E. Main Street, Bexley. “This Jade World” concerns the marriage of Sukrungruang, a Thai American, and an older poet. When his wife filed for divorce after 12 years, Sukrungruang fell into despair. • Doreen Uhas-Sauer and Tom Betti: The authors of the new book, “Forgotten Landmarks,” will appear in a free live virtual event hosted by the Columbus Metropolitan Library at 6:30 p.m. on January 27. In their new and previous books (“Historic Hotels of Columbus” and “Historic Taverns of Columbus”), Uhas-Sauer and Betti capture the stories of a forgotten Columbus.
