Come dance strictly Legend Len Goodman has already revealed which contender he thinks could get his hands on the Glitterball Trophy this year.
Len decided to leave his pointing racket and the Strictly jury in 2016, after twelve years of presence on the show. Despite this, he still keeps an eye out for the impatient competitors.
Len has announced who he thinks could win the competition for Hello Great Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard when appearing on the show Monday, September 6), stating, “I played golf the other week with Dan Walker and he’s up for grabs. I’m telling you, it’s a competitive guy. Whether he’s good I don’t know, however, he won’t lose for lack of trying. “
BBC breakfast host Dan Walker was the eighth candidate to be confirmed for Come dance strictly this year and although Len has revealed that he hasn’t yet had the pleasure of watching Dan dance, Len believes he has certain qualities that could make him a success on the dance floor, adding that:
“He’s tall, he’s got elegance. He’s good at golf, which is great because it takes timing, rhythm, good movement, technique, everything you need to dance. “
However, Dan had a different take on his potential for success Strictly, revealing to the BBC that: “I’m one of those people, I’ve danced at three weddings, two school nightclubs. I enjoy the experience of being able to really to learn to dance, have a little fun … we’ll see.
“I don’t make room on our shelves in our house for the Glitterball.”
The show is slated for a slightly different jury this year, with professional dancer Anton Du Beke finally realizing his dream of becoming a judge, as he will replace Bruno Tonioli who had to drop out of this year’s competition due to travel complications.
Come dance strictly returns September 18 on BBC1 and iPlayer.
