Business leaders, an environmental advocate and a designer are among those honored as 2022 Alumni of Distinction by St. Clair College.

“The 2022 St. Clair College Alumni of Distinction winners come from a variety of backgrounds, but they have all achieved great success in their chosen fields,” said a press release announcing the winners.

Michael Audet (Business Common 1988), Karen Bolger (Development Services Worker 1985), Tim Byrne (Civil Engineering Technology 1979), Kristin Kennedy (Nursing 1997), Tomoko Oxenfarth (Fashion Design Technician 2020) and Chris Vadori ( Publicity 2010) are the last group of alumni recognized by the college.

Audet, CEO of ELK Energy, is honored in the Business and IT category

Bolger, Executive Director of Community Living Essex, is honored in the Community Studies category.

Byrne, Executive Director of the Essex Region Conservation Authority, is honored in the Technology/Engineering category.

Kennedy, President and CEO of Erie Shores Health Care, is honored in the Nursing and Health category.

Oxenfarth, the creator/owner of Maison Louise, is honored as a recent graduate.

Vadori, the social media manager for Canada, Skip the Dishes, is honored in the creative arts category (media, art and design).

“The Alumni of Distinction program has a dual purpose,” said college president Patti France. “It exists, most certainly, to pay tribute to the remarkable achievements of the recipients, both professionally and in recognition of the many beneficial contributions they have made to their communities. It also serves as an inspiration to current and prospective students: to demonstrate to them, in the form of an individual who has excelled, that a St. Clair education is the foundation for tremendous success and fulfillment.

A total of 125 graduates have been recognized by the college since 1992.

France said the winners will be invited to be guest speakers at the convocation ceremonies in 2022-2023.

This year’s Distinguished Alumni Ceremony will take place on Friday, April 29 in the Alumni Skyline Room at the St. Clair College Center for the Arts in downtown Windsor. Tickets are $60 and are available by calling 519-972-2747 or visiting stclairalumni.com for more information.
