Royal Authors All Pen Books On Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Conflict – Deadline

Anyone who wakes up in Britain and brings a newspaper to bed this weekend could be forgiven for thinking the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are under the covers with them.

Such is the mass of coverage in British media as authors and royal commentators line up to publish books that were presumably written months before Queen Elizabeth died earlier this month, but were held back for fear of to offend the popular queen during the final chapter of her reign.

At least three books by leading authors and royal correspondents have had excerpts published in weekend newspapers.

vanity loungeRoyal writer Katie Nicholls publishes ‘The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown’ – in which she details, among other revelations detailed in the Daily mailthe Queen’s “surprise” that divorced Meghan Markle chose to wear white at her wedding to Prince Harry.

Also in the Daily mail is author Angela Levin with her book on ‘Camilla, from Outcast to Queen Consort’ published September 29.

Perhaps the most problematic edition arrival for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is Valentine Low at The temperature. Last year he was the first to reveal bullying allegations made against Meghan by members of his staff, and he has now written a book ‘Brokers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown’. giving a full rundown of events – including his revelations that staff who have since left the palace have since called themselves the ‘Sussex Survivors Club’.

There’s more news happening in the UK right now but, from a look at the front pages this weekend, you wouldn’t necessarily know.
