He also worked as a creative writer in WWE. He’s worked as a writer for Friday Night Smackdown since the brand’s second split, and he’s done a great job. Recently, he had been released from WWE.
He has extensive experience in creative writing. Something AEW badly needs right now. The promotion had been founded in 2019 and they are really struggling to achieve ultimate success. They’ve signed some of the biggest names in the pro wrestling world today, including CM Punk and Bryan Danielson.
But they still struggle to compete with WWE. And one of the main reasons behind this is the weakness of the creative team. Signing Road Dogg as a creative writer could be an instant fix. He had been excellent in WWE. As long as he was on SmackDown, WWE’s blue brand was seriously entertaining. AEW shouldn’t be late to sign him.
Road Dogg Brian James, who is also a six-time WWE Tag Team Champion, recently spoke on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast where he revealed how frustrated fans were with Vince McMahon for banning certain words . He said;
“So I completely understand where Vince is on talent and banning words. Now you can say “wrestler”, okay? You know what I mean? Like, I don’t understand, – I understand. There were many times, believe me, I thought, ‘Isn’t that frivolous? I can’t say the word stinky in his presence.
“Like, but actually, looking back I learned a ton of words. I learned what ‘suspend’ meant because he wasn’t going to say ‘delayed’. Sometimes I actually think that he loved doing it because everyone was learning a new word.
