Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle arrives on Netflix on October 8, 2021.
The 23rd film in the Pokemon series, Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle was originally released in Japan on Christmas Day 2020 and is now hitting Netflix next month.
In the new trailer shared via Netflix Geek On Twitter, fans got to see what kind of adventures Ash and Pikachu would experience as they traveled to the Okoya Forest in search of new Pokémon. What the couple hadn’t planned on finding was a youngster – and a slightly wild boy – who was raised by the mythical Pokémon Zarude.
As you might expect though, this unorthodox couple of boy and mythical Pokemon just can’t live in peace as Doctor Zed and his company Biotope plan to demolish the Okoya Forest in order to harness its mysterious healing powers. . Not only that, but Team Rocket’s Jesse and James have suddenly started working at the same company and are definitely planning to wreak havoc.
This Pokemon movie also marks the return of the traditionally hand-drawn art style of Pokemon, which the previous Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution movie replaced with a new style of 3D CGI animation – but still cute.
If you just can’t get enough of The Pokemon Company’s cinematic / TV efforts, we’ve got some great news for you. Not only is this new movie making its way to Netflix, the streaming service is also working on a Pokémon series live. This series will apparently have a visual style similar to the 2019 Pokemon movie Detective Pikachu, which, fortunately for them, pleased the fans quite well.
Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle will begin streaming on Netflix on October 8, 2021.
