‘Pod Save America’ co-host, author will visit Harrisburg bookstore this week


“Pod Save America” ​​co-host and New York Times bestselling author Dan Pfeiffer will talk about his latest book and sign copies at 7 p.m. June 29 at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore, 1302 N. Third St ., Harrisburg.

Pfeiffer’s latest book, “Battling the Big Lie: How Fox, Facebook, and the MAGA Media Are Destroying America,” examines “how the right-wing media apparatus works, where it comes from, and what progressives can do to fight misinformation,” according to the official press release.

Pfeiffer will be joined in his discussion by DeRay Mckesson, educator, author and civil rights activist.

Tickets for the event are $31.80 for an in-person ticket and a copy of a signed book, and $40.28 for a virtual ticket and a copy of a signed book. Free in-person tickets are currently not available.

In-person participants must present proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Face masks are mandatory and book browsing will not be permitted after 8:00 p.m.

Pfeiffer served as White House communications director under President Obama from 2009 to 2013 and was the president’s senior adviser from 2013 to 2015.
