Ocean Alexander unveils first 35m superyacht in new Puro series

Taiwanese shipyard Ocean Alexander unveiled the first 35-meter (114-foot) model of its all-new Puro series at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Known as the 35P, the first three units in the series are already under construction and hull one is set to debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2023.

The three-deck motor yacht will be built in GRP and will feature the design of Italian designer Giorgio Cassetta, in collaboration with Andrea Agrusta of Italian engineering firm NavalHEAD.

Cassetta commented: “I wanted to make a beautiful boat that talks [Ocean Alexander’s] language, which responds to what they do best.

The 35P will be about 56m2 of sunbathing space and 18.5m2 dedicated to the beach club, which can also be transformed into a garage.

The interior of the upper deck is a single space that houses both the wheelhouse and the salon, with glass that can be darkened to create privacy, if required. This space also benefits from walkaround decks that ensure maximum accessibility for owners and guests.

The 35P will have a beam of 7.4 m (24 ft), an overall internal volume of 273 gross tons and a draft of 2.1 m (6.8 ft). The line is expected to be fitted with two MAN 2000 HP engines as standard, allowing a top speed of 24 knots, which can be increased to 27 knots if the buyer opts for 2600 engines.
