Topics discussed included the company’s competitive advantage over other electric vehicle automakers, the types of vehicles that will be available to customers, plans to change the company’s name and symbol, Gene’s background and his favorite past projects.

Note* E-Cites vehicles are in no way categorized as “Kit Cars” as they are new manufactured vehicles.

I look forward to being able to share more updates as we progress and encourage everyone to ask questions as details are released. I would also like to express my gratitude to Mark Schaftlein for inviting me to this interview. It truly is as authentic as its reputation and I look forward to the opportunity to return in the future.
Gene Langmesser has many years of national and international professional experience in sales, business development, executive business operations and the product design engineering industry. He is a senior executive and has held these positions in the aerospace and automotive industries around the world. Gene has formed numerous teams during his career and has executed programs for both domestic and international markets. He rose through the ranks through all key job classifications and performed these “piece art” tasks interfacing with the entire management, sales and technical team. Over the course of his career, Gene has established offices, design, engineering, rapid prototyping, mock-up and manufacturing facilities. He conducted international business in Germany, Italy, England, France, Poland and Mexico.
In 2016, Gene and N2A were commissioned to design and build the first-ever hydrogen hybrid semi-trailer, by Nikola Motors. They delivered all carbon fiber bodywork, all lighting, glass, mirrors, grilles, emblems, full interior, dashboard, gauges, beds, seats and many other aspects .

In addition to leading product design and development and prototyping teams for automakers such as Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus, Ford, Hyundai and others, he has also designed or built numerous cars or movie props. Most notably, the futuristic Lexus 2054 piloted in “Minority Report”, taxis in “Taxi”, fighter ships in “Battlestar Galactica”, the Batmobile in “Batman and Robin”, and Terminator bodies in Terminator 3.

Unlike competitors Tesla, Nikola, Polestar, Lucid, VW, Ford, Jaguar and others, E-cite is not required to meet the safety certifications or other costly certifications of a traditional car manufacturer, making it easier and faster to offers new vehicles on a much more favorable market. While the initial lead time to be able to deliver a production vehicle to the market usually exceeds 3 years and often more at a very high cost, E-Cite plans to deliver its first production vehicles for the 2023 model year. This is less 12 months between creation and the showroom.
This is possible because E-Cites vehicles are eligible under the “Low Volume Vehicle Manufacturers Act of 2015”. In 2015, Congress enacted a bill directing the NHSTA to establish a program allowing low-volume motor vehicle manufacturers to produce a limited number of vehicles per year. a regulatory scheme that addresses the unique safety and financial issues associated with limited production, and to direct the EPA to allow manufacturers of low-volume motor vehicles to install engines from vehicles that have received conformity certificates. Although they had a year to establish this new program, it took until January 2021 for the NHSTA to issue a final decision allowing the manufacture of low-volume vehicles. By law, automakers are exempt from all safety standards, but they must meet applicable emissions standards. There are no emission standards for electric vehicles.

E-Cite Motors has developed a modular design that will be engineered to enable the production of vehicles using a skateboard-style chassis that uses electric hub motors. As the system is fully modular, this allows for configurations ranging from low power batteries and a single 100hp motor up to a high performance 1000hp vehicle using all wheel drive and 4 x 250hp motors.
