STORYTELLING: CREATIVE WRITING 101: Tweens can explore and foster creative voice through prompts and writing exercises. BREAKFAST OF PANCAKES: The Sons of 325 Squadron of the American Legion will be hosting a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at a cost of $6. Open to the public.

SALE OF LAND: American Legion Post 325 will be hosting a garage sale from 7 a.m. to noon at the post. Open to the public. Cost of renting a table inside $10; $5 to rent a spot in the parking lot (no table).

MALE CANCER SURVIVORS NEEDED FOR SOCIAL INVESTIGATION: Virginia Commonwealth University and the Cancer Research and Resource Centers are conducting a survey of social networks and experiences as a male cancer survivor in rural Virginia. Anyone is eligible if they are a male survivor of prostate or colorectal cancer, age 21 or older, who has completed cancer treatment, and lives in rural Virginia.
