London: Joy and Justice Peace and Poetry!

Sarah of Nordwall

Come and enjoy the inspiration and refreshment that true tales and life-enhancing poems can bring with a unique evening with Sarah of Nordwall and company of bards at Farm Street Church tonight.

Sarah has performed in the House of Lords and venues from Transylvania to Pennsylvania and was the Unofficial Performance Poet in Residence at BBC Worldwide and winner of the Wild Words Poetry Competition and is published by Folklore Publishing and the Bard SchoolPress.

This summer Since then, Sarah and the Company of Bards from her Bard School have contributed to creative writing workshops for the homeless at the lunch service in Farm Street.

This event is also held as a fundraiser for these enrichment services.

Encourage your creative friends and aspiring writers to come along as you will be invited to pick up your pens in the meantime and maybe come and share on the mic in the second half. This event was a huge success when we held it for National Poetry Day before lockdown but this year we are holding it on the feast day of Pope Saint John Paul II who was a great poet, playwright and advocate for the power of the arts to put the tools of resistance back into the hands of those who needed a voice. Come and awaken the energies needed to ‘take up and master the challenges of the times’ as he so wonderfully put it in his letter to artists in 1999. Tickets £20. £5 off for all volunteers serving lunch.
