While at SC State, she was heavily involved on campus as the Bulldog cheerleader and Miss Sophomore. She is now dedicated to improving the lives of children and families by educating them about social awareness and social and emotional learning. She has a strong passion for promoting creativity, resilience and thinking outside the box.
Brown began his tech career over 20 years ago after a brief career in broadcast journalism. While at SC State, she worked on college radio. After college, she became a writing assistant at Upscale Magazine and also worked as an audio specialist for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. When Brown started her IT career, she became extremely interested in project management and focused on developing her leadership skills in this area. In less than a year, she started working for a large telecommunications company and was quickly promoted for her quality work.
In January 2019, Brown joined SiriusXM + Pandora as Vice President of Digital Product Development. She was responsible for defining the strategy of initiatives supporting the development and user experience of Pandora Music App. She recently joined Tucows Inc., based in Toronto, Canada, and is the second largest web domain registrar in the world.
Brown received his Bachelor of Arts in Professional English and Audiovisual Journalism from SC State and received his Masters of Business Administration from the Michael J. Coles School of Business at Kennesaw State University. She has also completed project management courses with Villanova University, received professional certification in project management and trained in agile methodology.
