Haverhill’s Dario Preston is the featured performer when Haverhill’s River Bards hold their final presentation of the season next Friday.
Preston, who grew up in Lawrence and credits the town with her artistic abilities, writes every day, whether it’s a diary, music, poetry, sketches or short stories. He considers himself a spoken word poet/artist and is a frequent open mic presenter of River Bards. His first novel is “Book of Poetik Thought”, available on Amazon.
Haverhill’s River Bards, working with Creative Haverhill, is a group of local poets passionate about bringing poetry, prose, spoken word and other literary arts to light. Preston reads in person Friday, June 3, 7 p.m., at HC Media Studio 101, 2 Merrimack St., Haverhill. It’s open to the public. Masks are not mandatory, but are strongly recommended by the group.
After the reading, there will be an open mic time on a first-come, first-served basis. End of events no later than 9 p.m.
