The Parker Meggitt iPRESS will soon be available for a range of Cessna and Beechcraft products manufactured by Textron Aviation.
The new gauge provides an improved user experience while checking inflation pressure through the use of Parker Meggitt’s revolutionary Wireless Tire Pressure Sensor (WTPS) and a new integrated Tire Pressure Status feature to the Textron Aviation Service app for smartphones and tablets.
Parker Meggitt’s iPress is the culmination of the company’s ongoing work with Textron Aviation to develop a wireless system specifically for checking tire pressure in real time, without the need for manual checks, which can help extend tire life and reduce human error, improving flight reliability and cost savings.
Chris Allen, President of Parker Meggitt’s Airframe Systems Division, said, “Maintaining tire inflation pressure to manufacturer specifications is not only essential for safe flight operations, but also extends tire life. tires and reduces costs.
“We are excited to introduce iPRESS to the market as it is truly representative of a technical breakthrough that leads to a brighter future.”
